I wrote the first and third verse one night as I sat next to my mom in I.C.U. while I believed she was losing her battle with cancer, she didn't ! But I recorded this song in her honor and for all of those still out there fighting the disease . I later added the middle about my own " challenge" ;) ...The piano and drum tracks were recorded at Pedernales Studio ( Willie Nelson's place ) . ahhh , the resonating sound of a 9 foot Bösendorfer grand piano.... the song was completed at Crystalfire Studio ( Harry Roberts place ) where Harry went on to compose one of the finest synthesized orchestra arrangements I've ever heard . Courtney Sanchez added her amazing vocals in harmony to it as well . Thanks guys !
